Retractable

I was once on that path
But now I provide water
To the people who still
“Have it”

People who ooze with self confidence
Who beam with capability

While I ashame my mother
She has no good news to tell her friends

While I discover I still am not trusted
By  the person I love most

And my heart
Once big and smiling

Is broken
And sinking to my feet
Where I continue to walk all over myself
Piggy backing everyone else to the finish line
